Obituary of Joseph Elias

Joseph Elias age 88 of Uniontown passed away on Saturday December 30,2017 with his family by his side.

“Uncle Joe” was born on March 8,1929 in Uniontown the son of Thomas and Mary (Joseph) Elias. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 5 sisters Emiline Elias, Anne Yankoski, Betty Elias, Elizabeth Elias, and Dorothy Elias, and 3 brothers Thomas Elias Jr, George Elias, and John Elias.

He was a successful businessman with several business ventures. Founder of Yum Yum Tasty Donuts. He travel extensively around the world. He became “Uncle Joe” to everyone. He would rather be in a car going somewhere than sitting idle.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna (Racic) Elias, 2 daughters Terry Pawl and husband Carl , Lisa Rist and her husband John, 6 grandchildren, a adopted son Doug Szczodrowski, Several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Friends will be received in the St George Maronite Church 6 Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, PA on Tuesday January 3 from 9 to 11AM  at which time a mass of Christian Burial will be held by Reverend Father El-Badaoui Habib, M.L.M..

Interment will be private in St Mary Cemetery Leckrone, PA
