Obituary of David Wayne Scott

David Wayne Scott, 65, of Uniontown, PA passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

He was born on July 30, 1954, in Waynesburg, PA, the son of the late Asa and Mary Albert Scott.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Owen David Lion.

David was Owner and Operator of Ace Quick Lube, President of Center in the Woods, and a member of the Masonic Laurel Lodge 651. David was one of the men who brought the love of soccer to Fayette County. He helped build and originate the Fayette County Youth Soccer Club and Menarcheck Field. He loved the outdoors, hunting with his son Michael, watching his grandchildren play sports, and especially being with his family anywhere! The highlight of each day was having coffee with his friends every morning! Thanks guys!

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Doris E. Barcheck Scott.  His three children, Cara Lion and husband Patrick, Michael Scott and wife Bethany and Kelly Sampson and husband Christopher. The following grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Noah Lion, Evan Lion, Kate Lion, Levi Scott, Dylan Sampson, Cameron Scott, and Kennedy Sampson.  Also by his loving brothers and sister, Daniel Scott and wife Bonita, Douglas Scott and wife Linda, and Diane Williams and husband John; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received in the Thomas M. Dolfi Funeral Home, 136 N. Gallatin Ave, Uniontown, PA on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 3-8 PM, and on Saturday, September 7, 2019 until 9:15 AM at which time a blessing service will be held in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 :00 AM at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.

A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 PM by the Masonic Laurel Lodge 651 on Friday September 6, 2019.
