Obituary of Kathleen Brittain

Kathleen Adele (Susa) Brittain passed away on  Thursday, January 31, 2019 loving wife, sister, aunt, and dance teacher, passed away at the age of 61.

Kathleen was born on November 22, 1957 in Uniontown, PA to Michael and Martha Susa. She was married on October 3, 1981, to Paul Brittain. Kathleen and Paul resided in Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Her hobbies included a passion for animals, cats being her favorite; and collecting Disney memorabilia, specifically Haunted Mansion items.

Kathleen was a member of Dance Masters of America and Dance Masters of Pennsylvania, where she served as a board member. This was her 45th year of teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics. Kathleen was the Director and a faculty teacher at Larraine Susa’s Dance Unlimited. She was an award winning choreographer and teacher at both regional and national levels. Kathleen has been on many judging panels, sharing her knowledge and expertise with many.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, and nephew. She is survived by her husband Paul S. Brittain, her sister Larraine Susa, brother in law Chuck (Judy) Brittain, nephews Michael (Jenny) Susa, Christopher (Caroline) Brittain, nieces Precious Susa and Angel Susa, great nephews and nieces Lucas Susa, Liam Susa, Charlie Brittain, and Nora Brittain.

Friends will be received in the Thomas M. Dolfi Funeral Home 136 N. Gallatin Ave Uniontown on Monday February 4,2019 from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday February 5,2019 until 9 AM at which time prayers of transfer will be held, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Pius X Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
